Energy Saver: reQall Mobile App
Talking about productivity apps for mobile phones makes me a little uncomfortable because I think that using our mobile phones less is probably the biggest key to increasing our productivity. That being said, most of us are pretty hooked into our cell phones, and will not be giving them up any time soon.
And isn’t it better to spend our time organizing our tasks and prioritizing rather than playing Doodle Jump or Solitaire? Probably.
If you’re one of the millions that have jumped on the app bandwagon, then you may have heard of today's recommendation: reQall. The app lets you save your to-do lists, shopping lists, and voice memos all in one place, and then uploads them to the reQall website so that you can access them anywhere, anytime.
You never have to go back to the site to check on your to-dos, however, because the app lets you sync your lists with a veritable smorgasbord of notification options, including AIM, Yahoo Messenger, email, and text message.
This is a great collaboration tool as well, as it allows teams to share their to-dos and memos using the “People” tab.
While it may seem like a large leap to think of to-do lists and voice memos as ways to save energy, the fact is that we spend a lot of our time and energy trying to remember what we need to do, keep others informed of what we’re doing, and prioritizing tasks. An app that allows you to do all of these activities in one place can help you to save your mental energy for more important tasks including strategizing, brainstorming, and long-term planning.
